Not specific muscle groups
The Crossover Symmetry Shoulder programs were developed using the most current exercise and medical research to identify the best way to functionally train movement patterns, not specific muscle groups.
By training muscle groups in this way you will be developing the coordination among these muscle groups to be able to move pain free whilst being able to accomplish more complex movement tasks like throwing a baseball, swinging a golf club, swimming, olympic lifting or gymnastics.

Much of the magic behind Crossover Symmetry lies in the sequencing and programming "behind the bands". Each exercise has a specific purpose and sequence to effectively address posture, scapula stability and rotator cuff function.
RESISTANCE MATTERS
The right resistance for the targeted muscle group
Each of the Crossover Symmetry Shoulder programs uses a heavy and a light set of cords. The heavy Crossover Cords target the larger scap muscles, while the light set targets the smaller rotator cuff muscles.
It is imperative that you use the “right” resistance for the muscle group and movement you are targeting. Use too light of resistance and you are not activating/strengthening the targeted muscle groups effectively. Use too heavy and you could be overpowering the smaller rotator cuff muscles and upsetting the arthrokinematics of the shoulder joint leading to shoulder impingement.
