HOW DOES THE HIP & CORE SYSTEM WORK?

The Crossover Symmetry Hip & Core System provides the equipment and the training to improve stability, mobility and motor control of the hips and core, eliminating knee and back pain whilst optimising sports performance.

The CS Hip & Core System is designed to attack these problems

WEAK CORE

A strong core is needed to stabilise the spine for big lifts and rotation. But the core is also made of deeper movers and stabilisers that control the smaller movements if the spine. Weakness in these smaller stabilisers is a common cause of muscle spasm and pain in the lower back. 

DYNAMIC VALGUS

This is an especially dangerous position for the knee, commonly recognised as the knee caving inwards. Knee valgus appears to be an issue with the knee joint but it's actually caused by impairments of the hip. Dynamic valgus results in many types of knee pain, meniscus tears and increases the risk of ACL tears. 

POOR HIP EXTENSION

The largest and strongest of the glute muscles produce hip extension. It's important for running, jumping and makes an important statement for your physique. If you can't create the necessary power from your hips, the body does it's best to find it elsewhere which are often compensations of the lower back.

POSTERIOR CHAIN WEAKNESS

The quads (the muscles on the front of the leg) often dominate over the hamstring's and glutes. A weak posterior chain is a common issue in those experiencing back and knee pain, and also key performance impairment for their role in generating explosive movements.

PLANTING & CHANGING DIRECTION

Changing direction quickly and safely requires a different level of core strength and stability than just bracing your abs hard. It requires strength and coordination to fire a lot of muscles simultaneously.

Q: Do the programs in the CS Hip & Core System target the Glutes?
A: Absolutely!!! The Glutes are one of the primary focuses of every program in the system. You can’t have a hip & core system and not work the Glutes. Trust us, you’ll feel the burn.

Q: How were the exercises selected for each program?
A: The programming for the CS Hip & Core System was developed based on peer-reviewed research examining injury risk factors, biomechanics, and EMG muscle activation studies. Each exercise has a specific purpose and is progressive in nature building upon the prior exercises.

Q: What are the main differences between the Hip HALO and other products on the market?
A: The exercises in the CS Hip & Core System demanded specific resistance and range of motion characteristics that other products didn’t have. So we built our own product to meet these demands.

The Hip HALO features a greater range of motion with a more even resistance. The padding is easily cleaned, contours to the leg for comfortable movement, and is durable enough for years of daily use. The Hip HALO comes in three resistance options to adapt to any strength level. Finally, we built a complete training system around the Hip HALO so you know exactly what to do and how to do it.
